School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, MA Summer 2008: Attended Pre-College Summer Studio program. Took classes in 8 different disciplines, including sound art, group collaboration & performance, and installation sculpture.
The Oxbow School Napa, CA Fall 2008: Attended one semester visual arts program. Changed my life. Discovered the joys of conceptual art! Experimented wildly with pinhole photography, intaglio printmaking, oil painting, and large installation sculptures.
Rhode Island School of Design Providence, RI Summer 2007: Attended Graphic Design Pre-College program with A. Cemented knowledge of graphic design fundamentals. Took weekly courses in art history, figure drawing, and basic design.
School of Visual Arts New York, NY Spring 2007: Completed color darkroom photography course with A-.
SUNY Purchase Purchase, NY Summer 2005 2006 2005: Attended Young Photographers summer program. Learned black and white darkroom photography. Spent 25 hours a week for 4 weeks in the darkroom. Developed confidence in traditional photography skills.

Zephyr Art & Literary Magazine Rye High School 2005 - Present: Put in late nights to turn a stack of art and literature into a finished magazine. Took leading role as designer then Editor-in-Chief. Instituted an updated publishing workflow and trained layout staff in InDesign CS3. Won awards from school two years in a row for leadership, creativity, and persistence. Garnet & Black Newspaper Rye High School 2006 - Present: As layout editor, completely redesigned the newspaper, receiving many accolades. Promoted to Design Editor, responsible for overseeing design of monthly issuse and training two layout editors. Promoted to Editor-in-Chief of Design. Responsible for design staff of four as well as overseeing design and photography of all issues.; 2007 Commitment, Creativity, and Love of Journalism Award
Experimental Theater Group Rye High School: Co-wrote modern adaptation of Moliére's "Misanthrope".; 2008 Performed forthree nights on stageat Rye High School
Columbia Scholastic Press Association Conference: Attended three consecutive years to participate in journalism and publishing workshops

Shelter Saturdays Once a Month 2007 - Present: Set up cots at a local church to house overflow from a local homeless shelter, prepared bagged lunches and food.
